Do I have to start the Program on the 1st day?
No! We have 80 classes throughout the week for you to choose from. You may take as many or as few classes as you like! However, courses require that you attend each class.
Who is the Ticket in The Package for?
It is for Students of the Festival or Children (under 18). If you would like to upgrade your ticket to an adult ticket you may do so by paying an additional $20. Depending upon whether Festival students are in more than one piece in the concert, they may or may not want to watch the show. If they do, they are required to have their ticket.
How much are Individual Classes?
Classes are $27 each. Debbie Allen and Special Guest Courses are $45 each. 5-day Courses are TBD
What Hours are the Classes?
Intermediate and Advanced Students 10:00am - 6:15pm. Beginner Students: 11:30am - 6:15pm. Early Birds: 2:00pm - 3:00pm. Spectators: 2:00 - 3:15 and 7:00 - until. Teachers: 10:00 - 6:15. Evening Events are from 7:00pm -9:00pm

The Opening Jam Session
This opening jam session is our chance to welcome you to the Los Angeles Tap Festival w/ a light reception and plenty of good dancing. Open to Dancers and the public.
What is the Student Showcase
The Student Showcase is an opportunity for Festival Participants to share their choreography or improvisation in a showcase open to the public. The sign-up is free for Festival Students and $10 for spectators.
What is the Panel Discussion?
The Panel consists of our world renowned faculty. Get a chance to hear their stories and ask questions.
What is the Cutting Contest?
In the tradition of Buck Dancing Contests, students compete improvisationally in their age level for cash prizes. The winners are determined by their timing, innovation, and style. However, this is a friendly, fun-filled competition. Everyone walks away a winner. This is event is open to the public: Dance or Just Watch and Enjoy. Here's a sample:
